On Sunday 6^th November, Chloe Doda, the Marketing and Wellbeing Coordinator at Coalville site took part in the Birmingham half marathon. She completed it in 2 hours 58 seconds and raised over £1,800 for the Leicester Hospitals Charity.

The Leicester Hospitals Charity aims to provide the best possible facilities and environment for patients, staff, and visitors across the 3 hospitals in Leicester.

Chloe raised funds specifically for the charity’s Chemotherapy Suite, which requires 450k in funds to expand their chemotherapy centre and perform 4,000 additional procedures per year. More people will be able to receive lifesaving treatment as a result.

Chloe commented, “In the past, I had only ever run a 10k which took me over an hour to finish, so running a half marathon was a proud moment for me. I’m passionate about this charity as my lovely neighbour visits the suite regularly, so being able to raise funds to help more people access these amazing services has been an honour.”
